Sorry

Mum & I arrived back home yesterday after spending a week and a half, in Carlisle looking after my aunties' dog for her while she went to her grand-daughters graduation. We had a lovely time and it was great to seeing my crazy cousins, they make me seem sane ha ha ha!

I had forgot to make a birthday card for a friend before we went away, so I rushed to get this made last night so I could post it today. She loved the pirate card I made for my brother so I hope she likes this one.

Here's what I used:

Stamp - Pirate Tilda by Magnolia and coloured with Promarkers.

Cardstock - Bazzill and Coredinations.

Papers - Graphic 45.

Cuttlebug embossing folder.

MS border punch.

Pergamano white pen.

Sakura clear star pen.

Gems and flowers from stash.

Christening Card Number 2

Well what a week I've had making these two cards my brother and his partner wanted me to make for a couple of christenings. My brother said to just put the little girls' name and a flower on the cards, so I did try but you know when you just can't get into the swing of things and you're not enjoying what you're making, that was me. I don't know how many times I've cut their names out and I've wasted so much paper. My brother isn't keen on Magnolia stamps, he things they are weird as they don't have faces! I was getting really fed up, nothing was going the way I wanted it to, so darling brother a bit of tough luck cos Tilda it is, ha ha ha. So much for just having the little girls name on the card eh?
Once I had decided which Tilda would look the best on a christening card, that was it everything else just seemed to fall into place and I was back enjoying myself!! Thank you Tilda!! I've tried to take a close up of Tilda's wings, so I'm not sure if you can see but I've even been Parching! I stamped Tilda onto parchment paper twice, using Cotton White Stazon, embossed the wings, cut them out and decoupaged them. I'm always puzzled how to do wings, so I'm really pleased with how they turned out.
Here's everything else I used:
Stamp - Flying Tilda, coloured with Promakers.
Pearls and little roses - Say It In Pearls by Prima
Paper - Blueberry Hill by Papermania.
Cardstock - Centura White by Crafters Companion.
Deckled Oval Nesties.

Christening Card

Last week my brother asked me if I would make two christening cards but he only wanted the little girls name on them!!! Well I played around with different styles of letters, layouts, papers and I was getting nowhere. So I decided to have a look at one of Joanna Sheens cdroms and thought this image was soooo cute. Joanna Sheen has some wonderful crafty goodies on her site, always top quality products and service. Well I hope they like it!

Something Different

I've been a busy little bee today, it's a shock to the system, I can't believe I've made two, yes TWO cards today!! Not only that but I've even coloured the image for my next card!! There must be something wrong, thank goodness I'm back at hospital on Tuesday. This is something different for me, no not me making two cards ha ha ha but using yellow and green. I'm normailly lilacs, purples, red and pinks but you know that feeling when you just get fed up using the same old things all the time, well thats how I felt. So I thought right lets go for it and made this for my box of emergency cards, which is now empty thanks to my darling brother and his partner!!

Here's what I used:
Papers - Bloom & Grow by MME, Kioshi by Basic Grey.
Cardstock - Bazzill.
Circle Dies - Nesties.
Stamp - Tilda coloured with Copics
Ribbon & pearls from stash and the "With Love" is handwritten by my fair hand.

I'm entering it into Sketch Saturday's challenge, check out what the DT have created, WOW!!

It's my friends birthday next week and shock horror, I'm ahead of myself for once! She likes my cards so much she frames them, so even though it is a birthday card I've left the sentiment off. I can share her card with you all because I know she won't be looking on here.

Clever Edwin

Love this Edwin stamp but hardly ever used it, until I saw this weeks challenge over at I Love Promarkers!! Their theme is a receipe of 1 ribbon, 2 different papers and 3 buttons. I think he looks rather clever sat there on top of his books, don't you? I've tried to take a close up of Edwin's glasses, not sure if you can see but I've used Glossy Accents on them. The stamps are singles and to make it look like Edwin is sitting on the books I used a mask of Edwin, placed it over the Edwin I was going to use and then stamped the books on top, then removed the masked image and HEY PRESTO Edwin is sat on his books!! Not bad considering it was my first attempt at doing a mask. Hope you all like it.

Here's everything else I used:
Papers - Bazzil and Hampstead by Papermania.
Stamps - Edwin, Books both by Magnolia. Coloured with Promarkers.
Large Octagons - Spellbinders Nestabilities.
Ribbon, buttons, glossy accents and sentiment are from my crafty stash.

I'm entering it into the following challenges:
I Love Promarkers - A Receipe.
Passion For Promarkers - Books.

"Thank You"

I've made this thank you card for a lovely lady who sends things back from Carlisle with my Dad when he's been up there for the weekend. I'm not use to using a lot of pink but I don't think it looks too bad really. I used my nesties to make the easel card blank, just think it makes a change from making either a square or circle. Once I'd finished the card and put the flower on, I ended up making a box for it aswell. Hope she likes it.

Here's everything else that I used:
Papers - Bloom & Grow by MME, edges inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
Pink Pearlescent cardstock, charm, bling & ribbon from stash.
Labels Five - Nesties.
Stamp - Curtsy Tilda coloured with Promarkers.
